As the first point of contact with our patients at our clinic, the ideal individual will have an outstanding personality and excellent customer service skills.
Must have a proven ability to work effectively in a high volume medical office environment and bilingual Spanish speaking.
Specific duties will include:
Greeting and registering patients in a timely manner, ensuring thorough and accurate information is entered/scanned in accordance with company procedures; verify patient insurance, check-out patients after appointments, including scheduling any follow-up appointments/testing; Collecting patient co-pays, account balances, and/or referrals per clinic procedures; track collected payments on a daily basis; Tracking all clinic patient encounter forms from the generation of the form all the way through the acceptable submission to HCCI billing department; Promptly answering and appropriately managing/routing of incoming phone calls;
Qualifications:
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant Certificate preferred; knowledge of physician billing and insurance is a plus A minimum of one year experience working in the health care industry/medical environment is preferred Bi-Lingual Spanish speaking Must be able to effectively handle challenging situations and balance multiple priorities Must respect the confidential nature of medical information Heart Care Centers of Illinois offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits and retirement package, and a weekday only/no nights schedule.
