MacNeal Hospital's Progressive Care Unit is a 25-bed unit that routinely cares for patients with complex medical conditions. Our unit specializes in angina, syncope, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, and pre/post cardiac intervention. Cardiac Telemetry Nurses are trained in performing EKG's, interpreting cardiac rhythms, administration of IV cardiac medications, phlebotomy, and certified in ACLS. MacNeal nurses participate in shared governance and are active in practice-related decision making that influence their daily work. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
